Wow, I didn’t really understand the hype around the Murderbot series from the first book, but this one was incredible! The “crew” of characters this time were way more fleshed out and likable and the setting and plot was way more fun and action packed. I definitely recommend.

A fun and interesting read that speaks to how different generations handle things but from a fantasy perspective.

This book gave me a history lesson on South Korea's past and the dangers of a tyrant. The story follows two characters, one trying to save her sister and the other trying to remove his tyrannical brother from the throne. They work together to meet their goals, and in the process they also fall in love. I loved how their love developed despite the treacherous environment led by the king, and how it did not feel rushed.

I think this book is interesting and creative

I was expecting a little more from this book than I got. Did I overhype the book in my mind because of the authors? This did make me want to read Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None.
